I am a longtime fan of Canadian singer Anne Murray. The first and only time I have ever seen her in person was in 1974 when she made an appearance at Freed-Hardeman University. Her song “Snow Bird” had just come out and was a big hit. The concert was held in Bader Gymnasium on campus. I remember that she used a bad word on stage. I imagine that the organizers talked to her about it.
            One of her songs that I have always loved (and still do) is called, “A Little Good News.”  The song laments the lack of good news today.  It addresses some things that it would be good to hear: “Just once how I’d like to see the headline say, ‘Not much to print today – can’t find nothin’ bad to say…’”  The song conveys a powerful message.  In the same vein as Anne Murray’s song there are some lead stories we would love to hear on the news.  I found these listed in an issue of House to House/Heart to Heart some years ago:
